This hand-drawn study, done in pen on vellum, analyzes Paul Rudolph’s 23 Beekman Street house and its masterful use of sectional design to organize circulation, light, and spatial complexity. Through interlocking volumes, double-height spaces, and layered terraces, the design brings light in from all sides and creates moments of relief and connection within a compact footprint.
