The Stacks Bookstore

Designed as part of my ARCH401 studio, The Stacks Bookstore transforms the former Wonder Bread Factory in Washington, D.C., into a multi-level bookstore, café, and community gathering space. The design emphasizes openness and visual connection through a central atrium and vertical circulation tower, creating a sense of flow between reading, retail, and lounge areas. This project explored adaptive reuse, spatial sequencing, and material relationships within an existing structural framework.
