The title of my piece is “Coming of Age”. I chose to name it this because the picture is a representation of two different ages, an infant and a grown man. I chose pointillism as a restraint for this project, meaning the drawing is entirely made up of dots using a micron pen. This was very time consuming but so worth it! I had to use new techniques to add highlights and shading using only dots. The tiny dots also served another purpose. They established a difference between the small-sized dots and the large overall image. Just like how the baby is small but with age and time it will grow up and become much bigger. I really enjoyed this and I felt properly challenged! I am very proud of my work!
